Fabric

Fabric can be used as a background, used as frames for photos and or for tags. While you can enjoy creating your own embellishments, sometimes time can be short. The convenience of the pre-made material available today allows you to incorporate the textures onto your layouts without a lot of the work!

Sheet suppliers

Sheets are available from companies such as Michael Miller and MAMBI. These sheets can be used in the same way as pattern papers or cardstock to create the background of your layouts or cut into shapes. Junkitz and Making Memories produce swatches; these are pieces of material in themed packs which co-ordinate with other products in their ranges.

Making Memories and MAMBI produce woven labels; these mimic the look of the labels from our clothing, and have words and sayings to suit the theme of many layouts.

Canvas tags

Canvas tags from Creative Imaginations are available in many styles and can be coloured to match the layout. Add a stamped letter to create a small monogram embellishment, or make a photo tag embellishment.

Lettering

Cut out letters are probably one of the trickiest of embellishments to produce. But Making Memories are now making Fabric Alphabets which are self adhesive – a very quick and easy way to add a title with a little texture to your pages.
